Why Kiln-Dried Oak?
The Problem → The Solution
Seasoned firewood sits outside for 1-2 years to dry properly...that's a long time for bugs and mold to move in!
Our oak firewood is kiln-dried at 260°F for ~42 hours in USDA certified kilns, targeting ~10% moisture content every time...no bugs, no mold!
Kiln-dried oak:
- Lights fast — every single time
- Burns hotter and longer than seasoned wood
- Minimal smoke — indoors and out
- Less creosote buildup — safer for your chimney
- Bug-free & mold-free — safe to store in your garage
- ~10% moisture content — every time
The Signature Rack
Firewood delivered the easy way — pre-stacked on a portable wheeled rack, right to your driveway.
- 16" hand-selected splits, kiln-dried to ~10% moisture
- Hand-stacked & burn-ready the minute it arrives
- Rolls easily on concrete — garage, patio, or fire pit
Just a better way to do firewood...once you try it, you'll never go back.

Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver outside of Johnson County?
Yes. We primarily serve Johnson County, but if you're just outside our area, go ahead and try to place an order — you might be in luck! Delivery fees may apply based on distance. If you're area isn't covered, drop us a note below letting us know which zip code we should expand to next!
We hope to continue to scale to better serve all of KC and beyond, but for now we are focusing on our hometown.
Where do i select my delivery date?
Simply add the rack to your cart and the system should prompt you to select your preferred delivery date at checkout — it's that easy!
How does your rack system work?
When you order a rack of firewood, a $75 deposit will be added to your order — think of it like the quarter in an ALDI cart, just our way of making sure we get our racks back!
If you ever decide you're done for the season or want us to store your rack over the summer, simply add a rack return to your cart, choose a pickup date, and leave it outside. We'll handle the rest and refund your deposit.
What’s the difference between “seasoned” and kiln-dried?
It’s all about the moisture content in the wood, and how we get to that level. While there is no official standard for what constitutes seasoned wood, generally a 20% moisture content is the goal. For premium firewood species like Oak, that can take about 2 years to achieve! That’s a lot of time for bugs to move in and molds to colonize your wood.
With our USDA certified kilns, we target ~10% moisture content in just 42 hours! The other benefit of essentially “baking” the wood…no bugs or molds can survive 42 hours above 260 degrees.
How much firewood do I need for the season?
It really depends on how often you burn! A single rack holds about a 1/4 of a face cord — perfect for casual burning a few times a week. Most of our customers reorder a couple times throughout the season. The good news is, reordering is quick and easy, so you never have to overbuy upfront. It's firewood on demand!
